2024 Trend Palettes

Coming into the later months of 2023, everyone is starting to think about the trends the next twelve months may bring.

Already we can start predicting colours, textures, room stories and design quirks that we will see over the next year. Let’s take a look at a few of those…

Pretty in Pink

Using the hues of this gorgeous colour brings a sense of softness and feminity inside a room, reminding visitors of the glorious power of women.

For 2024, a trend that may be in vogue is the use of a soft blush colour coordinated with neutral tones like beige, white & grey.

Moody Earth Tones

Sage and olive have been some of the most common colours this year in interior design. However whilst they have been paired with neutral tones such as white and grey, coming into 2024 we can already start to see darker hues coordinated with the green shades.

Minimalism is still on trend for now but instead of creating a neutral and light palette, coordinating these sets of colours will bring a sense of warmth and sophistication into a space.

Mix of Warm & Cool Tones

In 2024 I think we will see a mixing of warm colour palettes that have accents of cooler tones. No longer will we just stick with warm or cool tones for a space, but now we are figuring out how we can dynamically mix them.

To create a structured design with warm and cool tones, the fabrics of each piece of furniture must blend well together and stand out on their own. It gathers people’s attention and the room becomes a balanced scene of colour, texture and creativity. An example may be using a cool blue combined with the warm tones of brown and beige.

Traditional Contemporary

The modern trend of using retro elements in a contemporary space has been on the rise. This is mostly coordinated through classic and recognisable patterns that haven’t aged since their day of release such as a simple stripe and a houndstooth pattern. However, whilst there isn’t a massive trend of an entire suite or chair in a patterned fabric, the careful placement of accent cushions, upholstered backs of chairs or lounges and stand out pieces such as ottomans will be more popular than ever coming into 2024.

Coordinate a space with these fabrics to bring a sense of tradition but also modern elegance.
